English Legal System: Driving While Disqualified
In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of Driving While Disqualified : An offence committed by the *driver of a motor vehicle on a public road when he is disqualified from driving (See disqualification). This is an endorsable offence (carrying 7 penalty points under the totting-up system (*totting up)) and the courts have discretion to impose a further period of disqualification.
