In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of Draft :
1. An initial unsigned agreement, treaty, or piece of legislation, which is not yet in force.
2. An order for the payment of money, e.g. a banker s draft.
Draft Definition (in the Accounting Vocabulary)
The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants offers the following definition of Draft in a way that is easy for anybody to understand: Signed, written order by which one party (drawer) instructs another party (drawee) to pay a specified sum to a third party (payee).
