English Legal System: Corruption of Public Morals
In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of Corruption of Public Morals : Conduct “destructive of the [moral] fabric of society”. It is uncertain if such acts are crimes, although those who published “directories” of prostitutes or magazine advertisements encouraging readers to meet the advertisers for homosexual purposes have been found guilty of conspiring to corrupt public morals.
