In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of Concurrent Lease : A lease granted by a landlord to run at the same time as another lease of the same premises. The effect is that the lessee of the concurrent lease acquires the rights and duties of the landlord in relation to the other lease.
