Commitment in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, commitment is: a legally binding undertaking specific to a country under one of the agreements administered by the WTO. The entries on trade policy are here. Examples of commitments are tariff bindings and inscriptions in the schedules of commitments on services. Such commitments usually stem from negotiations between two or more parties and are then made available in a non-discriminatory way to all parties of the agreement concerned.
