In this regard, chaebol enterprises is: large Korean conglomerate firms of post-war origin. They are characterized by single-family ownership, and control remains concentrated even into the second or third generation of owners. They are prevalent particularly in manufacturing and construction. The share of total economic output of chaebol firms appears to have been falling since the 1970s, but they remain significant economic actors.[1]
