In this regard, buy-local policies is: a way of giving advantages to domestic producers of goods and services under the government procurement rules of some countries. Such policies are often expressed in terms of a preference margin favouring the home-grown product, but sometimes they may be limited to decision to purchase locally if all other things are equal.
