Brussels Declaration in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, a definition of this issue is as follows: the statement resulting from the Third United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, held in Brussels from 14 to 20 May 2001. The entries on trade policy are here. Among other matters, participants agreed that they would use the WTO Doha Ministerial Conference to “advance the development dimension of trade”. One aim would be to improve preferential market access for least developed countries (LDCs) through working towards the objective of duty-free and quota-free access for LDCs in developed countries. The conference also adopted an action plan for the least developed countries. See also Everything But Arms.[1]
