English Legal System: British Protected Person
In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of British Protected Person : One of a class of people defined as such by an order under the British Nationality Act 1981 or the Solomon Islands Act 1978 because of their connection with former protectorates, protected states, and trust territories. A British protected person may become entitled to registration as a British citizen by reason of UK residence.
