Bogor Declaration

Bogor Declaration

Bogor Declaration in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, bogor declaration is: adopted by the APEC Economic Leaders ™ Meeting on 15 November 1994 at Bogor (Indonesia) to achieve free trade in goods and services as well as free investment among APEC members. Developed country members will achieve the target by 2010, developing countries by 2020. Leaders emphasized their strong opposition to the creation of an inward-looking bloc that would impair the pursuit of global free trade. Leaders also said that they would give particular attention to their trade with non-APEC developing countries to ensure that they would also benefit from APEC ™s trade and investment liberalization, in conformity with GATT/WTO provisions.
