Concept of Biological Agent
In relation to securing dangerous material (in case of crisis or terrorism) a meaning of biological agent may be outlined, in general regarding European law, as follows: Biological agents shall mean micro-organisms (includes genetically modified organisms), cell cultures and parasites, some of them may be able to provoke any infection, allergy or toxicity in humans, animals, or plants that can be used in bioterrorism or biological warfare.[1]
