ASEAN Integration System of Preferences in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, asean integration system of preferences is: entered into force on 1 January 2002. This scheme enables the six original signatories of AFTA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) to extend voluntary tariff preferences to the four newer members (Burma, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam).[1]
