Agreement on Trade in Civil Aircraft in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, agreement on trade in civil aircraft is: one of the WTO plurilateral agreements, concluded as part of the Tokyo Round. Signatories to the Agreement undertake to eliminate all customs duties and other charges on (a) civil aircraft, (b) civil aircraft engines, parts and components, (c) other parts, components and sub-assemblies of civil aircraft and (d) ground flight simulators. The Agreement requires that purchasers should be free to select suppliers on the basis of commercial and technological factors, and without quantitative restrictions. WTO rules on subsidies apply.[1]
