Accounting Principles Board (APB) Definition (in the Accounting Vocabulary)

The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants offers the following definition of Accounting Principles Board (APB) in a way that is easy for anybody to understand: Senior technical committee of the AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS (AICPA) which issued pronouncements on accounting principles from 1959-1973. The APB was replaced by the FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD (FASB).
