Concept of “Uxor, Ux’”
Traditional meaning of uxor, ux’ in English (with some legal use of this latin concept in England and the United States in the XIX Century) [1]: (in Latin) Wife. Uxor non est sui juris, sed sub potestate viri, cui in vita contradicere non potest: a wife is not capable at law, but under the protection of her husband, whom she cannot contradict during life.
