An allowance of meat, drink, money, clothing, lodging, and such like necessaries for sustenance. 1 Bl. Comm. 282 ; 1 Chit. Prac. 225. An allowance from an abbey or house of religion, to one of the king’s servants who dwells therein, of meat and other sustenance. Fitzh. Nat. Brev. 230. An assize law for a corody. Cowell.
