The following is a definition of Peril of the Sea, produced by Tetley, in the context of admiralty law: “Peril of the sea is some catastrophic force or event that would not be expected in the area of the voyage, at that time of year and that could not be reasonably guarded against.” See Tetley, M.C.C., 4 Ed., 2008 at p. 1051, Chap. 18.
