The definition of Absolute acceptance in the law of the United States, as defined by the lexicographer Arthur Leff in his legal dictionary is:

“Acceptance” here is short for acceptance of bill of exchange, which will be “absolute” (i.e., unqualifed) unless conditions or qualifications are affirmatively written on the bill.
