An estate limited to endure for a definite and ascertained period of time, fixed in advance . United States v First national Bank, (C.A. 5.) 74 F.2d 360. Such an estate is an interest in land. Fidelity trust Co. v Wayne Countv, 244 Mich. 182, 221 N. W. 111. At common law , however, in the absence of a statutory definition in that regard , some jurisdictions have followed the common law concept that such an estate is a chattel interest. See Hartman v Drake, 166 Neb. 87, 87 N. W. 2d 895.
