Sui generis right in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, sui generis right is: a type of intellectual property protection used often as a form of copyright protection. The entries on trade policy are here. Under this directive, producers of databases who can show that they have made a substantial investment in a database have the right to prevent acts of extraction or reutilization of the whole or a substantial part of the database.
