Meaning of Parallel Jurisdiction

The term derives its origin in constitutional provision that the judicial power of the United States federal Courts extends to cases arising under the laws of the United States, authorizing adjudication of any non-federal issues necessary to resolution of a Federal claim . The extension of a jurisdiction of a Federal court into areas where normally it would not otherwise have jurisdiction.
