A system involving notice to trade debtors which is confined principally to the textile industry. Corn exchange Nat. Bank & trust Co., Philadelphia v Klauder, 318 U.S. 434, 63 S.Ct. 679, 87 L.Ed. 884. The purchase of accounts receivable from a business by a factor who thereby assumes the risk of loss in return for some agreed discount . Manhattan Factoring Corp. v Orsburn, 385 S. W.2d785, 238 Ark. 947.

Sale of a firm’s accounts receivable to a financial institution known as a factor.
