Euro in Maritime Law
Note: There is more information on maritime/admiralty law here.
The following is a definition of Euro, produced by Tetley, in the context of admiralty law: The currency of the European Union (see this maritime law term in this legal dictionary). This currency is now used in all E.U. countries except Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the ten new countries which join the E.U. on May 1, 2004, but it is anticipated that it will eventually be the currency of all E.U. countries. As at March 2007, one Euro (?) was worth approx. .54 Cdn, or .31 U.S., or £0.68 (pound sterling), or 1.31 S.D.R.’s (see this maritime law term in this legal dictionary).
