Equasis in Maritime Law

The following is a definition of Equasis, produced by Tetley, in the context of admiralty law: European Quality Shipping Information System. An organization estabished in November 1997 by the European Commission, in conjunction with the United Kingdom Government, to promote safety in international shipping, by developing an information system collating existing safety-related information on ships from both public and private sources in various countries and making it available on the Internet.
