Centrally-planned economies in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, centrally-planned economies is: CPE. The entries on trade policy are here. A name until the late 1980s or early 1990s for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the USSR, China, Vietnam and some others in which economic activity was based on yearly plans usually elaborated by a body like the State Planning Commission. These countries were also known as non-market economies. Most CPEs have now turned into market economies or are on the way towards that goal.
