Andean Community in Global Commerce Policy
In this regard, a definition of this issue is as follows: the Cartagena Agreement of 26 May 1969 established the Andean Pact, sometimes known as Andean Group, as a sub-group of LAFTA (Latin American Free Trade Area). The Agreement aims to coordinate the industry and foreign investment policies of its members. Current members are Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Chile was a member from 1969 to 1976. The entries on trade policy are here. An Andean Free Trade Area was established on 1 January 1992, followed by the adoption of a common external tariff on 1 January 1995. Its secretariat is located in Lima.[1]
