Meaning of Abatement of Nuisance

To remove or put an end to it. A public nuisance may be abated by anyone to whom it does a special injury, but only to the extent necessary to prevent such injury. A private nuisance may be abated by anyone aggrieved, but without committing a breach of the peace, and without doing more damage than is unavoidable. See Nuisance
