Meaning of Statutory Bond
As distinct from a bond arising out of a contract , a statutory bond is one required by and conforming to a statute . A private bond, on the other hand, is one that is not required by statute or if required is insufficient to fulfil the statutory requirement. See Bartley v Bartley, 171 Kan. 465, 233 P.2d 735.
