Meaning of Reasonable Care
As used in the law of negligence , the term denotes the test to determine if the defendant breached the duty of care he owed the plaintiff . In this context the term means such care as may be reasonably expected of a person of ordinary prudence under like or similar circumstances.
Reasonable Care Alternative Definition
Such care and diligence as an ordinarily prudent man would exercise under the same circumstances. It is synonymous with ordinary care. 34 Wis. 318; 79 Ga. 44. The term is altogether a relative one, dependent on the circumstances, and the nature of the duty owed. See 25 Md. 521,
