Meaning of Pimp
In a general sense, the term denotes a procurer . The specific meaning of the term depends upon the statute in which it occurs. Generally, a male person who knowing that a female person is a prostitute , lives or derives support or maintenance in whole or in part from the earnings or proceeds of her prostitution , or who solicits or receives compensation for soliciting for her. See 44 Cal.2d 77, 279 P.2d33.
Pimp Alternative Definition
A procurer; a panderer; a man who has intercourse with a loose woman, and usually she is taking care of him, supporting him. The word has no technical meaning. 75 Mich. 131.
