Meaning of Parallel
Lying evenly everywhere in the same direction but never meeting , extending in the same direction and in all parts equally distant, having the same direction or tendency. Two lines or courses or tracts are said to be parallel when they are geometrically and mathematically equidistant at every point . See Terrill v City of Lawrence, 392 P.2d 909, 193 Kan. 229.
