Meaning of Mistrial in Spanish
Description/ translation of mistrial into Spanish: (in the law of the United States/ en el derecho de los Estados Unidos) interrupción del juicio, interrupción de la vista oral (por ejemplo por alguna irregularidad o circunstancia grave, como bloqueo del Jurado, sospecha de parcialidad en algún jurado, etc. que determina la nulidad de lo actuado. Frecuentemente, se traduce esta figura por “nulidad del juicio”, equivalencia que atiende más a sus efectos que a su contenido. La equivalencia más aproximada en el derecho español es “interrupción del juicio” que, si se produce, tiene por efecto, al igual que el mistrial, la necesidad de comenzar de nuevo el juicio)[1]
