Meaning of Misbehavior
In relation to a public official , misbehavior in office is a common law offense which occurs when there is a breach of a positive statutory duty or the performance by such official of a Discretionary act with an improper or corrupt motive .
Misbehavior Alternative Definition
Improper or unlawful conduct. See 2 Mart. (La.; N. S.) 683. Generally applied to a breach of duty or propriety by an officer, witness, juror, etc., not amounting to a crime.
