Meaning of Locatio rei
(Lat.) In civil law. The hiring of a thing. It is a contract by which one of the parties obligates himself to give to the other the use and enjojrment of a certain thing for a period of time agreed upon between them, and in consideration of a price which the latter binds himself to pay in return. Poth. du Contr. de Louage, note 1.
