Meaning of Habitable

premises whose state is such that they can be occupied, not only with safety, but with reasonable comfort . If a new home does not keep out elements because of substantial defects of construction, such a home is not habitable. See Goggin v Fox Valiev Const. Corp., 365 N.E.2d 509, 8 III. Dec. 271.
