Meaning of Garage

The place or structure where motor vehicles may be stored, sheltered, repaired, cleaned and made ready for use. See Woods v Kiersky, (Tex.App.), 14 S. W. 825; also see Smith v Alexandria, (La.App.), 300 So.2d 561. The use of the building or structure may however be limited to one or the other enumerated above. A garage may be a public garage that is one where motor vehicles are stored for safe keeping for compensation or a private one, where motor vehicles of certain owners are kept but which is not available for use to the general public.
