Meaning of Fungibles

movable goods which may be estimated and replaced by weight , number or measure . Movable goods of a class ; where the subject matter of a contract is the delivery of movable goods of a class, then any goods of the same quantity, number or weight of that class would satisfy the contract, such as delivery of a given measure of wheat. But where the contract calls for delivery of the chattel in specie , then the same is not fungible.
