Concept of “Frater”
Traditional meaning of frater in English (with some legal use of this latin concept in England and the United States in the XIX Century) [1]: (in Latin) Brother. Frater consanguineus: a brother by the father’s side; uterinus, by the mother’s side. Frater fratri uterino non succedet in haereditate paterna: a brother shall not succeed a uterine brother in the paternal inheritance. Frater nutricius: a bastard brother.
