Meaning of Determinable
liable to come to an end upon the happening of a certain contingency, susceptible of being determined. An interest or estate in land is said to be determinable when it is liable to be determined or come to an end, whether by limitation , passage of time, merger , surrender or otherwise . A determinable fee, however, may last forever and never be terminated unless it is in accordance with the grant or devise under which it is created. See Reichard v Chicago, B&Q.R. Co., 1 N.
