Meaning of Destination

The place set for a journey’s end; the terminal point to which one directs his course , or to which the course of anything is directed; goal; mark; as to reach one’s destination; the destination of a parcel . See Elbow Lake Co-op Grain Co. v commodity credit Corp., (C.A.Minn.)251 F.2d633.

Destination Alternative Definition

The Intended application of a thing. For example, when a testator gives to a hospital a sum of money to be applied in erecting buildings, he is said to give a destination to the legacy. Mill stones taken out of a mill to be picked, and to be returned, have a destination, and are considered real estate, although detached from the freehold. Heirlooms, although personal chattels, are, by their destination, considered real estate; and money agreed or directed to be laid out in land is treated as real property. The port at which a ship is to end her voyage is called her “port of destination.” The place for ultimate delivery of goods intrusted for carriage.
