Meaning of Constituent
One represented by another, for example a resident of a state is a constituent as to that state’s senators.
Constituent Alternative Definition
(Lat. constituo, to appoint). He who gives authority to another to act for him. The constituent is bound by the acts of his attorney, and the attorney is responsible to his constituent.
