Meaning of Conception

In patent law, the formation in the mind of the inventor of a definite and permanent idea of the complete and operative invention as it is thereafter to be reduced to practice. Said to be established when it is demonstrated that sufficient reasoning has taken place so that the inventor fully understands and can describe the invention whereby it may be explained to others in the art. See radio Corp. of America v Phi/co Corp., (D.C.N.J.)275 F. Supp. 172.
