Meaning of Concealers
In England, the term refers to persons who are granted by the crown forfeited or concealed lands, that is lands which by some defect in title have vested in the Crown, and who then proceeds to harass persons or bodies holding lands upon charitable trusts connected with the church purposes, or who made a regular profession of gathering information in order to discover some flaw in titles with a view to impeachment and extortion .
