Meaning of Completion
(Adap. Lat. eompletio of action of complere to complete, q.v.) The act of completing in various senses parallel with those of the verb. The word “completion [means] the finishing or accomplishing in full of something which has already been commenced].” 121 N. C. 401. In its narrowest signification the meaning of the word is to carry out something already begun; to fill out something already outlined. 89 Fed. 266.

English Legal System: Completion
In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of Completion :
(in land law)
The point at which ownership of land that is the subject of a contract for its sale changes hands. The purchaser hands over any unpaid balance of the price in exchange for the title deeds and a valid conveyance of the land to him if the land is unregistered. If the land is registered, the purchaser receives a simple form of transfer that must be lodged at the appropriate District *Land Registry with the *land certificate.
