(Lat. he took In another place). In pleading. A plea in replevin, by which the defendant alleges that he took the thing replevied in another place than that mentioned in the declaration. 1 Chit. PI. 490; 2 Chit. PI. 558; Rast. Entr. 554, 555; Willes, 475. It is the usual plea where the defendant intends to avow or justify the taking to entitle himself to a return. 4 Bouv. Inst, note 3569.
