A certain quantity of land, used as the basis for taxation. As much, land as may be tilled by a single plough in a year and a’ day. Skene de Verb. Sign. A team of cattle; a cartload. It may include houses, meadow, woods, etc. It is said by Littleton to be the same as soca, but has a much more extended signification. Spelman; Blount; Cowell.
