Meaning of Born Out Of Wedlock

A child born to a married or single woman but whose father is not the mother”s husband is said to be born out of wedlock. The fact that the parents may be married to other spouses is immaterial . state v Colit on, 17 N.W.2d 546, 73 N.D. 582, 156 A.L.R. 1403.
